Our mission:

People with psoriasis living good lives

The Finnish Psoriasis Association promotes the overall well-being and social inclusion of people with psoriasis. The Finnish Psoriasis Association supports the work of psoriasis associations and volunteer organisations to enable peer support. At the heart of our operations is the provision of information and support for people with psoriasis and their families.

The activities of the Finnish Psoriasis Association are guided by the following values:

  • Fairness and equality: People with psoriasis have the right to receive the services they need equally and sufficiently, and to live without discrimination and prejudice.
  • Reliability: Our communications and services are based on researched information. We support research into psoriasis. People with psoriasis can rely on the high quality of services and the professionalism of those providing the services.
  • Communality: The activities of the Finnish Psoriasis Association and other psoriasis associations are open to all. In these activities, people with psoriasis and their loved ones experience inclusion, communality and acceptance.

Organisation and decision-making

In the Finnish Psoriasis Association, supreme power is exercised by the annual general meeting of the association. The association’s affairs are handled by the executive committee in accordance with the legislation and rules as well as the decisions of the annual meeting.

The executive committee can appoint working groups, for which it is then responsible, to perform tasks it has assigned. The executive director is in charge of the enforcement of the decisions of the annual meeting and the executive committee.
